Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Al Ismaili Travel & Tourism (“we”, “us”) handles your personal data, in line with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Sultanate of Oman (Royal Decree 6/2022) and its Executive Regulations.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Al Ismaili Travel & Tourism, Nizwa, Sultanate of Oman. For any question or request about your data, contact our data protection contact at contact@alismailitravel.com or +968 9588 1816.

What we collect

Forms on this website (trip enquiry, flight request, feedback): only what you type in, such as your name, WhatsApp number, the trip or route you ask about, dates, number of travellers and notes, plus a record of your consent and the time it was given.
When you book with us: the details needed to issue tickets, book hotels or apply for visas, such as passport copies and travel dates. We ask for these directly, not through this website.
When you browse: this website does not use cookies for advertising or tracking. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps technical logs (such as IP address) for security and may run Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. If we enable visitor statistics, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or identify you.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use your data only with your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the box on our forms, and only to:

answer your enquiry and send you quotations;
make bookings, issue tickets and submit visa applications that you ask for;
improve our service from your feedback.

We send offers and news only if you tick the separate marketing box. You can say stop at any time.

We never sell your data.

Suppliers you ask us to book with: airlines, hotels, transport and tour partners, insurers and embassies or visa centres, only what each one needs.
Service providers that run our systems: Cloudflare (website hosting and email delivery) and Google (our email inbox). Their servers may be outside Oman. By giving your consent you agree to this transfer, and we use only well-known providers that protect data with recognised security standards.
Authorities, when Omani law requires it.

The map

The map on our Contact page loads from Google only when you press “Show map”. Google’s own privacy policy applies to it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: up to 2 years from our last contact, then deleted.
Bookings: as long as Omani law requires us to keep accounting and tax records.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time, free of charge, to:

see the personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
correct or complete it;
delete it, or stop using it;
withdraw your consent (this does not affect what we did before);
stop sending you marketing.

Send your request to contact@alismailitravel.com. We will reply within the time set by law. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, which supervises personal data protection in Oman.

Children

Our services are for adults. Personal data of children under 18 (for example for a family booking) must be provided by a parent or guardian.

Security and breaches

We keep data only in secure, password-protected systems, and only staff who need it can see it. If a data breach puts your data at risk, we will inform the authorities and you as the law requires.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
